A high-level Vietnamese Army delegation led by Lt Gen Do Minh Xuong, Commandant of the Vietnam Army Academy, visited the Army War College (AWC), Mhow, on Tuesday. The visit focused on professional military education (PME) and the empowerment of military leaders, underscoring the deepening institutional linkages between the two armed forces.

Discussions centred on best practices in developing military leaders through structured PME programmes, exchanging perspectives on curriculum design, leadership development and operational readiness in contemporary security environments.
The AWC, a premier institution under the Army Training Command, trains officers at tactical and operational levels and plays a key role in doctrine development and leadership education for the Indian Army. The engagement provided the Vietnamese side with insights into India’s approach to preparing officers for multi-domain challenges while allowing Indian faculty to share experiences relevant to bilateral cooperation.
