Security forces recovered a cache of explosives during a joint search operation in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on March 11, 2026, underscoring continued vigilance along sensitive areas of the region. According to an official update shared by the Army, the recovery was made at approximately 4:45 pm during a coordinated operation led by alert troops of the White Knight Corps.Search parties operating in the general area of Poonch located a natural cave in which around four kilograms of explosives had been concealed. Troops also found stale cooked food inside the cave, indicating that the location may have been used recently as a temporary hideout or logistics point. Officials stated that such natural shelters are often used to store supplies or as short-term safe havens in difficult terrain.The Army confirmed that the explosives are being destroyed in situ following standard safety procedures to prevent any risk to nearby civilians or personnel. No casualties were reported during the operation.
