Mhow: The senior command course concluded at the Army War College (AWC), Mhow on Thursday.
An AWC release stated that Lt Gen Harjeet Singh Sahi, AWC Commandant of the Army War College, congratulated the batch of officers on successfully completing the prestigious Senior Command Course. The ceremony marked the culmination of an intensive and engaging curriculum designed to equip mid-level officers with the essential skills for leadership in commanding units within a complex, multi-domain operational environment.

The course, held at the Army War College—one of India’s premier institutions for professional military education—saw participation from Indian Army officers alongside 28 international officers from friendly foreign nations and three officers from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). This diverse cohort reflects the growing emphasis on international defence cooperation and joint operational preparedness.
The Senior Command Course focuses on advanced operational planning, strategic decision-making, leadership development, and adapting to evolving warfare paradigms, including multi-domain operations that integrate land, air, cyber, space, and information domains. The rigorous programme prepares officers for the challenges of commanding battalions and equivalent units in contemporary and future battlefields, aligning with the Indian Army’s vision of building agile, technologically adept, and professionally competent leaders.
In his address, Lt Gen HS Sahi lauded the participants for their dedication and performance throughout the course. He highlighted the importance of such training in strengthening India’s military readiness amid dynamic security challenges. “This course is not merely academic; it is a crucible that forges leaders capable of navigating uncertainty and executing missions with precision and resolve in multi-domain scenarios,” he stated.
