The Young Officers’ Course concluded at The Infantry School, Mhow with a distinguished batch of infantry officers successfully completing their specialized training. The course included Indian Army officers alongside 47 officers from eight friendly foreign countries: Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Ivory Coast, Mongolia, Eswatini, Malawi, Gambia, and Tajikistan.
This international participation highlights the strong defense cooperation and military ties between India and these partner nations, fostering shared expertise in infantry operations.

The rigorous program focused on equipping young officers with essential skills in platoon and company-level weapons handling and tactics. Participants underwent intensive training in areas such as platoon weapons and tactics, company-level operations, leadership in combat scenarios, and tactical decision-making—preparing them to effectively lead infantry units in diverse operational environments.

At the valedictory ceremony, Maj Gen Gautam Chauhan, Officiating Commandant of The Infantry School felicitated the outstanding performers for their exceptional dedication and achievements.
Lt Shubham Kumar was adjudged the Overall Best Student of the course, earning top honors for his outstanding performance, leadership qualities, and consistent excellence throughout the training.

The successful completion of this course underscores The Infantry School’s role as a premier institution for infantry training in India, contributing to building capable leaders for the Indian Army and strengthening military collaboration across borders. Graduates are now better prepared to take on frontline leadership responsibilities in their respective forces.
