Indian Army Showcases AI-Driven Defence Innovations at India AI Impact Summit 2026

New Delhi, February 16, 2026 — The Indian Army is actively participating in the India AI Impact Summit 2026, a major global event underway at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from February 16 to 20. The summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, brings together world leaders, top tech executives, and experts to discuss responsible AI development, governance, and real-world impact.

At Stall 4F–33, the Army is demonstrating its growing use of artificial intelligence to improve equipment sustainment, operational readiness, and future defence capabilities. Visitors can explore advanced dual-use technologies that support both military needs and broader national progress, aligning with the summit’s core themes of People, Planet, and Progress.

A key highlight is the Army’s dedicated session on February 18 at 9:30 AM in Room No. 10. Titled “AI in Sustenance – Enhancing Equipment Readiness of Military Equipment,” the panel features senior officers, industry leaders, and academic experts. Discussions will focus on how AI enables predictive maintenance, efficient logistics, and technology-driven excellence in defence operations.

This participation reflects India’s push for self-reliance in defence technology under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. By integrating AI responsibly, the Army aims to strengthen national security while contributing to ethical and inclusive global AI advancement.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 positions India as a key voice in shaping AI’s future, especially for the Global South, with expected commitments of over $100 billion in investments and attendance from CEOs of companies like Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
