
Mhow: In a significant step towards modernising military capabilities, Major General Neeraj Shukla, Additional Director General (Strategic Planning) in the Indian Army, delivered an insightful talk on predictive analytics and generative AI software suites at the prestigious Army War College (AWC) here.
The session, organised for senior officers and course participants, focused on harnessing advanced technologies to achieve superior cognition, enhanced resilience, greater technological adaptability, and effective shaping of the information environment in contemporary and future warfare scenarios.
Maj Gen Shukla emphasised how predictive analytics can enable proactive decision-making by forecasting threats and operational outcomes, while generative AI tools offer innovative solutions for simulation, planning, and intelligence processing. He highlighted the need for the armed forces to integrate these emerging technologies swiftly to maintain a decisive edge amid evolving multi-domain threats.

The talk aligns with the Indian Army’s ongoing ‘decade of transformation,’ which prioritises self-reliance, integration of AI, robotics, cyber capabilities, and space-based assets like NavIC.
Experts view this as a timely push towards tech-driven warfare preparedness. The Army War College, a premier institution for strategic studies, continues to play a pivotal role in grooming leaders equipped for next-generation challenges.
