Lt Gen R. C. Tiwari, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, visited the Rangapahar Military Station, the headquarters of the Spear Corps, to review the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the region.During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed by senior officers on the prevailing security environment, operational deployments and the readiness of formations responsible for safeguarding India’s northeastern frontiers.

The review focused on evaluating the preparedness of units, the effectiveness of operational strategies and the ability of troops to respond to evolving security challenges in the region.Lt Gen Tiwari also interacted with officers and soldiers at the station, acknowledging their professionalism and dedication while operating in a complex and strategically significant area. He commended all ranks for their steadfast commitment to strengthening security, maintaining high morale and ensuring operational readiness.The Army Commander emphasised the importance of continued vigilance and training to sustain the high standards expected of formations tasked with protecting the nation’s interests. He also highlighted the role of the armed forces in fostering public trust through disciplined conduct and effective engagement with local communities.
