Mhow: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi addressed participants of the Joint Capsule (JOCAP) Course No. 26 at the prestigious Army War College in Mhow on Tuesday, calling upon the emerging military leadership to serve as key catalysts in the Indian Army’s ongoing transformation journey.

In his address, General Dwivedi emphasized the importance of adopting an integrated and innovative approach that harnesses the Whole of Nation Approach to contribute effectively to nation building. He urged the officers to think beyond traditional boundaries, leveraging collaboration across government, industry, and society to build a more agile and capable force ready for future challenges.

The event also saw the COAS unveil the annual edition of the War College Journal, this year themed “Indian Army: On Path to Transformation.” The publication highlights the critical need to elevate Professional Military Education to new heights. It features a collection of ideas, analyses, and forward-looking thoughts on transformative training methodologies designed to instill greater agility, adaptability, and technological superiority in the Army, ensuring it remains a dominant and future-ready institution.

Adding to the occasion’s significance, General Dwivedi presented on-the-spot Commendations to five dedicated staff members of the Army War College. The awards recognized their exceptional commitment and outstanding contributions to the institution’s mission of shaping tomorrow’s military leaders.The visit underscores the Indian Army’s continued focus on professional development, doctrinal evolution, and holistic transformation amid evolving security dynamics. JOCAP courses, conducted at the Army War College, bring together officers from various services and allied nations to foster joint operational thinking and strategic perspective.The Indian Army remains committed to building a transformed force that is not only combat-effective but also deeply aligned with national aspirations.
